Meet the Facilitators
Rachel Renie-Gonzales
D Market Movers Ltd was established in 2009 by Rachel Renie and David Thomas. It was the first online distribution company of green-grocer items in Trinidad & Tobago. They focus on farm-to-table initiatives that secure the freshest, DMM’s core values are health and convenience which led Rachel to launch a line of locally grown, frozen, fruit products to make smoothies, cocktails, and desserts under the brand, Farm & Function TT. With now five flavors, their range of products is being distributed nationwide and regionally to retailers & the food service sector.
Rachel is focused on adding value to local ingredients grown right here in Trinidad & Tobago. With this passion for local agriculture, she co-hosts a monthly farm-to-table event to educate the public on the importance of local agriculture through a farm dining culinary experience called Our Moving Table.
Along with her team, Rachel has launched a food design company called Market Movers Design that specializes specifically in food design in the areas of Branding, Food Packaging Design & E-Commerce Development for major companies such as Massy Stores, CGA Caribbean, Chief Brand Products, Hong Wing & Sons Ltd, Pascal’s Bakery and much more. She works with start-ups and smaller companies as well to help them improve their branding and packaging to meet industry standards and be able to compete on a global scale.
With a degree in International Relations and over sixteen years’ experience being an agri-preneur, Rachel also mentors and is a Director on the Board of Youth Business of Trinidad & Tobago to help other burgeoning entrepreneurs while using technology to continuously innovate our local agriculture sector. Rachel and David are also recipients of Ernst & Young’s Emerging Entrepreneur of the Year 2016 awarded by the Trinidad & Tobago Chamber of Industry and Commerce.
Keron Rose
Keron Rose is a Digital Strategist who has worked with Caribbean Entrepreneurs and Businesses across the region.
He is the host of one of the top business podcasts in the Caribbean called “Digipreneur FM”.
He is also the host of the radio show “The Digital World” on Freedom 106.5fm and a column writer for both the Trinidad & Tobago Newsday and the Jamaica Observer.
Mr. Rose is also an advisor for the Digital Marketing Program at the University of Southern Florida and a Lecturer at the Arthur Lok Jack School of Business for Digital Marketing.
Mr. Rose has worked with companies across the Caribbean such as The Organization of American States, The Caribbean Telecommunications Union, Flow, Digicel, Bmobile, Huawei, Sagicor, Scotiabank, Eastern Credit Union and Wipay.
His goal is to help Caribbean businesses build their digital presence, monetize their platforms and participate in the global economy.
