In 2023, YBTT embarked on a transformative journey, guided by a bold purpose: “Building a sustainable future through entrepreneurship.” This isn’t just a tagline; it’s our unwavering commitment to empowering entrepreneurs and nurturing businesses that fuel innovation, economic prosperity, and social progress.

Our ambitious goals

      • Drive Economic Impact: Annual contribute $20 million (TTD) to Trinidad and Tobago’s GDP by 2027 through supported businesses.
      • Foster Job Creation: Generate 150 new jobs over the next five years.
      • Promote Social & Environmental Responsibility: Have 20% of supported entrepreneurs integrate social and green initiatives.

Getting to our goals

This is not just a strategic plan; it’s a promise to build a brighter future together. To achieve this there are several key changes along this part of change:

      • Our primary objective is to advance micro businesses to the small businesses, enabling them to generate a minimum of $500,000 in annual revenue.
      • We will implement a revamped 3-tier support programme, which includes a redesigned JumpSTART incubator, the introduction of the JumpSTART plus Programme, and an Accelerator Programme.
      • Over the course of 5 years, we will provide direct support to 180 young individuals through a selective approach, culminating in the establishment of 15 businesses that achieve a minimum annual revenue of $500,000.
      • We are committed to integrating ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) elements into our programmes, with specific initiatives dedicated to fostering social and green business development.
      • We will assess and adjust the annual board composition, sub-committees and operational staffing to align them effectively with the organization’s requirements. This will involve careful analysis and necessary adaptations to ensure optimal functionality and responsiveness.
