About Global Entrepreneurship Week

GLOBAL ENTREPRENEURSHIP WEEK is the world’s largest celebration of innovators and job creators who launch start-ups and bring ideas to life, drive economic growth and expand human welfare. During one (1) week each November, people are inspired by local, regional and international entrepreneurial activities, designed to assist them in exploring their potential as self-starters and innovators. GEW is celebrated in more than 200 countries (including Trinidad and Tobago). 

YBTT has been the local host of GEW for the past fifteen (15) years. This year’s GEW Activities was officially held from Nov 13 to 19, 2023.

What is the Global Entrepreneurship Network?
The Global Entrepreneurship Network operates a platform of projects and programs in 170 countries aimed at making it easier for anyone, anywhere to start and scale a business. By fostering deeper cross border collaboration and initiatives between entrepreneurs, investors, researchers, policymakers and entrepreneurial support organizations, GEN works to fuel healthier start and scale ecosystems that create more jobs, educate individuals, accelerate innovation and strengthen economic growth.
